Lanfear Bag in Walnut Graffiti

$590.00

The Lanfear is a piece made to be used, carried, and lived with. Inspired by my love of classic messenger bags, it’s crafted from walnut-colored vegetable-tanned leather that starts with a raw, almost unfinished look and deepens in character over time. It has just the right balance—structured but not stiff, refined but not delicate. Whether slung over the shoulder or grabbed by its hidden handle, it’s built for daily use, aging beautifully with every scuff, touch, and journey.

This bag took around 25 hours to make, every step done by hand—from cutting and stitching to folding and burnishing the edges. There’s no rush in a process like this, just patience and an appreciation for the work itself. This exact piece is available, but if you’re looking for something made to your own specifications, I’d be happy to create a bag tailored to your vision.

Understanding Patina

This item is crafted from high-quality vegetable-tanned leather, known for its ability to develop a rich, natural patina over time. As you use it, the leather will respond to your daily life—darkening with sunlight, softening with touch, and gaining depth from exposure to the elements. These subtle changes create a piece that is uniquely yours, carrying the marks of time and experience.

No two pieces will age the same way, making patina one of the most special qualities of vegetable-tanned leather. Rather than wearing out, it wears in—becoming more beautiful, full of character, and telling a story that is completely personal to you.
